What. A. Weekend.
We had high hopes that our inaugural Blues and Brews Festival was going to be a hit, but we could not have expected the absolutely huge turnout once the clock struck twelve on Saturday. The Mason County community came together once again and made this past weekend in Evergreen Square one for the books!
The party was cranked up as headliner The CD Woodbury Band took center stage at 1:30 PM. The band rocked the square and set the relaxed, good time vibes that carried on through the rest of the day. Closing out the day on center stage, The Pleasure Hounds ended the evening perfectly with two encores and even had the crowd out of their seats and dancing!
We'd like to give a huge thank you and shout out to all of our brew vendors for making Blues and Brews the next staple summer event in Shelton! Thank you to Backwoods Brewing Company - the event's Beer Garden Sponsor, Keyhole Valley Brewing of Shelton, WA, Bent Bine Brew Co. of Belfair, WA, Anderson Valley Brewing Company, Bainbridge Brewing, Belching Beaver Brewery, Cascade Brewing, E2W Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, Hop Valley Brewing Co., Lost Coast Brewery, New Belgium Brewing, Rainy Daze Brewing Co., Rogue Ales & Spirits, and Schilling Cider House.
The cherry on top of this summer sundae was the scrumptious entrees provided by local food trucks Tempting Eats & Treats, Radio Fryer Foods, and la Oaxacana, whose dishes served as the perfect balance to our brew vendors.
This event would not have been possible without the generous support from our Blue Ribbon sponsor Columbia Bank, souvenir glass sponsor Peninsula Credit Union, beer garden sponsor Backwoods Brewing Company, advertising sponsor The Shopper, water sponsor Bavarian Window Cleaning, as well as AAA Septic, Tractor Supply Company, and Taylor Shellfish who provided services for the event. Thank you all so much for your help!
Keep your calendar open for June 15, 2019 because this annual event is not going away any time soon! We'll see you next year for another day of Blues and Brews!
