The Chamber's Blues and Brews Festival was another huge success! Held on June 15 in Evergreen Square in downtown Shelton, the celebration played host to great breweries including Backwoods Brewing Company - the event's Beer Garden Sponsor, Bent Bine Brew Co., Steam Donkey Brewing Co., E2W Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, Keyhole Valley Brewing, Ninkasi Brewing, and Wild Ride Brewing.
Opening the event was local favorite The Pleasure Hounds. These four "rode-hard" rock and rollers playing enough classic rock, and blues to turn out any house! The Pleasure Hounds are Brian "Bowzer" Jenné on guitar and vocals, Craig "Fado" Gammon on keyboards and vocals, Bill "Mr. Marvelous" Field on bass and vocals, and "Smoke" on drums.
Headlining at 1:30 PM was Michele D'Amour and the Love Dealers. Michele is a Seattle native who was a child prodigy on piano and earned her chops singing with several different obscure local bands. In 2012, she formed her own group, Michele D'Amour and the Love Dealers. The Love Dealers are a fun, high energy, swampy mix of blues, funk and R&B. The band features Ronnie Bishop on drums; Patrick McDanel on bass and vocals; Jeff Cornell on guitar; and Michele D’Amour on vocals.
Hurts Likes Hell took the stage at 3:30 PM to close out the festival. Having shared stages with The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, .38 Special and The Little River Band, Hurts Like Hell is dedicated to creating an electrifying, all-original rock and blues sound that draws on the rich history of our rock forefathers of the sixties and seventies – Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Robin Trower and Bo Diddley. Sharing more than a century of experience performing professionally, the four band members have forged their authentic sound through a shared musical vision, a relentless passion for creating music and the use of increasingly rare vintage gear.
