American Rhododendron Society Show, Mason County Fairgrounds, Mother's Day weekend in May.
Yesteryear Car Club show in conjunction with historical society open house, Shelton, last Sunday in June.
Antique Farm Engine and Tractor Association show, Mason County Fairgrounds, second weekend in July.
Mason County Fair, last Friday, Saturday and Sunday in July. Rodeo, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
Antique Truck Show, county fairgrounds, second Saturday of August.
Gig Harbor Kennel Club dog shows, county fairgrounds, third weekend in September.
Theatre
Harstine Island Theatre Club shows in island's community hall: Play On, a comedy, on July 1, 2 and 3; Dracula Baby in the fall around Halloween; and the free Christmas show December 2, 3 and 4.
School theatre: Schools offer a number of plays and musicals on stage. Local schools boosters also bring the Missoula Children's Theatre to the county to involve scores of youngsters in the acting. Shelton Junior Programs brings performances to town to entertain elementary kids.

Mason County Community Concert Association, 2005-2006 season: pianist Gloria Saarinen with poet Lister Sinclair, September 24; multi-instrumentalist Todd Green, November 19; a cappella vocal ensemble The Coats, January 13; Vietnamese music from Khac Chi, February 13; guitarist Edgar Cruz, March 13; classical St. Petersburg Quartet, April 2; Shelton native April Kuhr, pianist, May 20. Comedian Robert Post ends 2004-2005 season this May 10. Shows in Shelton High School Auditorium; information at 426-1842.

Bluegrass from the Forest, two-day festival in spring, Shelton High School.
Music in the Park series, summer, 7 p.m. Thursdays in Post Office Park, Shelton.
Soup and Sound music series, free, Shelton United Methodist Church, three Fridays in December, 11:30 a.m. meal, 12:30 p.m. music.
School concerts: Mason County schools regularly schedule performances by their bands and choirs.
The county fair and OysterFest offer nonstop music on multiple stages. Other festivals feature music, too. Also look for special concerts of classical and religious music at the county's churches.
